Doctor by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili with the thesis Datation par ESR de quartz optiquement blanchis (ESR-OB) de la région de Atapuerca (Burgos, Espagne) application au site préhistorique de Gran Dolina (contexte karstique) et aux systèmes fluviatiles quaternaires de l'Arlanzón et l'Arlanza 2011. Supervised by Dr. Christophe Falguères, Dr. Robert Sala Ramos, Dr. Alfredo Pérez González.

MY HISTORY Degree in Geology (Univ. of Zaragoza, 2005), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Sedimentology and European Master in Quaternary Archaeology and Human Evolution (Univ. Rovira i Virgili, 2007). Obtaining an FPI grant (2007) took me to the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) in Paris, where I did my PhD thesis. In 2011 I obtained the European PhD Cum Laude with European mention, becoming the first Spaniard to specialise in the application of Electronic Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) as a dating method for both archaeological sites and geological systems. RESEARCH In December 2011, I obtained a post-doctoral contract in a project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) where I was in charge of the geochronological research of archaeological sites located in northern France and south-eastern UK. Currently, I am in charge of the EPR dating research line at CENIEH. I have participated in more than 30 national and international conferences, I have more than 30 scientific publications and I actively collaborate in UNESCO heritage projects such as Atapuerca (Spain) or the Olduvai Gorge (Tanzania), among others. My current research is focused on the application of the EPR dating method to solve geomorphological and archaeological problems. I have been a member of the Atapuerca Research Team since 2007 and have a five-year research period recognised by ANECA. TEACHING I am accredited by the Conseil National des Universités (CNU) in France and by ANECA in Spain. I have taught undergraduate and master's degree courses on Quaternary dating methods at the University of Tübingen (Germany) and at the MNHN in Paris. I am co-director of the summer course "Introduction to Geochronology" organized in collaboration Univ. of Burgos-CENIEH and held in 2018 and 2019. I have taught at the Archaeology campuses of Lucena and Bedmar organised by the Univ. Internacional de Andalucía, as well as seminars at the Univ. Complutense de Madrid. Since March 2024, I am a lecturer at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR). DISCLOSURE Official Master in Scientific Dissemination (Univ Isabel I, 2023) and scientific co-director of El Periódico de Atapuerca since 2018. I have given dozens of public lectures, I have organised many science outreach events and I have participated in different media such as Luis Quevedo's Podcast EvoPod02, the programme Ágora on Aragón Radio or La otra ciencia on Telemadrid.
